We’ve certainly seen a lot of review sites spring up across the internet over the past few years, but most of these are not editorially driven, but instead solely rely on user contributions.
The trouble is, these tend to be anonymous, hard to verify as true, and otherwise interesting as an indicator but difficult to trust.
However, I’ve noticed the website Finance Markets has started producing editorial reviews for a range of insurance products, including car.
So far there are only a small number of providers covered, I guess because it’s a lot of work, but it certainly looks promising so far, not least for their honesty:
There are reviews of home and life insurance, but hopefully the car insurance section will fill up pretty soon.
